Real Wedding // Rachel & Aidan’s Byron View Farm Wedding

From roommates to lovers, Rachel & Aidan quickly fell in love soon after they became roommates and the rest is history! Their romantic rose garden wedding day was the perfect fit for them, from the Byron View Farm Cottage to the rose-filled bouquet. We loved being a part of this love-filled day! Read on to hear more of their beautiful story.

Tell us your story, how did you both meet?
We met when Aidan came to look at a room I was renting out. I thought Aidan was incredibly cute and that it was a horrendous idea to share a house with someone you have a crush on but, I did it anyway! We very quickly knew we wanted to be together forever.

How did the proposal happen?
We were holidaying in Florence and Aidan had arranged a beautiful apartment that looked over the city. While I was in the shower, Aidan had sneakily lit candles all around the balcony. He proposed and it was magical, like something from a fairytale.

What were the reasons for choosing Byron View Farm as the venue for your special day?
We chose Byron View Farm as the cottage was just so gorgeous. The venue was intimate but also big enough. It was perfect for what we wanted. We had a good amount of people come over from Ireland (Aidan is Irish) so Byron was the perfect area for our international guests too.

What style were you striving for with your table settings, florals and reception? Was there a certain look or vibe that you wanted to create?
We wanted a rose garden type feel and Nicole from Byron Bay Weddings nailed the theme!

Were there any vendors that you particularly loved working with and why?
Carly Tia Photography was a standout, she was so lovely to work with and took incredible images. As was Nicole from Byron Bay Weddings as our planner, she planned the entire thing as I was totally useless at planning.

Overall, what was your most favourite part of your wedding day and why?
The best part of our wedding was simply just that we were husband and wife! It felt perfect and like it was meant to be.
