A beautiful wedding video will become your ultimate memento to flashback to every element of your special day. From the style and music to capturing all those raw emotions. A video allows you and your loved ones to relive the day for years to come. We present to you Byron Bay’s most talented and trusted wedding film professionals.

What is your signature style? Can you adjust this to the needs of your couples based on the mood they want to create/their personality?

Lemon Tree Film House
Unobtrusive. Honest. Observational. FUN.

Lemon Tree Film House create films that are an honest reflection of each individual couple, and of their day so we have no set shot-list, no quick ‘apply all’ ‘template’ and most of all, we have no intention of making you lie down in the grass whilst we Steadicam around you dramatically and then set your film to the Gladiator theme tune… basically, if you want a movie set on your wedding day, you don’t want us.

Lemon Tree Film House

Mos & Co
I like to keep things as organic and candid as possible! This is where you capture true moments. I won’t ask you to strut, pose or twirl unless YOU want to… although I may ask you to have a little kiss but normally that just happens naturally on your loved up wedding day. Capturing the atmosphere, your guests, and things you may miss on the day is what I do best and I”m totally open to hearing your creative thoughts as well.

Mos & Co

Byron Wedding Visual
At Byron Wedding Visual we are very relaxed in our approach and working with your twin brother allows us to be on the same page. People usually comment on how well we work together as a team. The best moments are non-staged moments that unfold naturally. The atmosphere guides us on the day. We are after feel good, beautiful light and shots with energy. Most people hire us because they like our style so we don’t get many requests to capture a specific style.

GoldBear Wedding Films
HI GUYS! GoldBear videos are energetic, bright, fun and candid with just the right dash of romance. We avoid anything ‘cheesy’ because let’s face it… that’s cringy-bad. Our videos kind of speak for themselves but we can go ‘super fun party vibes’ or ‘relaxed chill vibes’ – as long as you guys are yourselves, we’re sweet. Let’s talk!

GoldBear Wedding Films

Rabbit and the Bear
I guess from the very start, we really wanted to have our Rabbit and The Bear films feel organic and not too posed. We desire to shoot things quite honestly and for it not to feel awkward for our couples. For us, that means things need to flow from scene to scene and location to location. Weddings should be fun and hopefully, we always make being around cameras feel quite effortless as if they’re not.

Rabbit and the Bear

Yellowbull Weddings
Our videography style is candid and real, capturing the fun and romantic moments. Sure we have a style in which we usually work and a way we edit. However, all of our couples are vastly different from one another, coming from different walks of life, with different styles and stories to tell, so we feel that it’s important to create a film that reflects who they are and their day.

Yellowbull Weddings

Woven Motion
We’re super relaxed and generally just go with the flow of the day with as little direction as possible. We’re all about creating good vibes both on the day and in our edits. We’re really flexible in adapting to the flow of events and to any requests you have on the day and in the edit. Our main goals are to keep everything chill while creating an epic wedding film for you to enjoy.

Woven Motion

How do I choose a videographer that will complement the work my photographer does?

Lemon Tree Film House
If you love our natural and ‘real’ approach to capturing your day then it’s important that your photographer has a similar way of shooting.

A massive portion of our work comes from photographer recommendations… which I think is because we’re super cruisy to work alongside and we genuinely respect their craft and want us ALL to do an amazing job for you.

MOS & CO
I think naturally you’re going to choose to your likes. This probably means we’ll be quite similar in our approach, tone and both be able to manage our peripheral vision well, as to not get in the way of a lens.

Byron Wedding Visual
To be honest it’s more about choosing a photographer that is open to
teamwork. Only a handful of times have we had photographers that don’t care about allowing the couple to get an amazing video. They only care about the photos – sometimes they will take the couple away without letting us know. Our job is to make sure the couple gets amazing photos and film. So we always place an emphasis on teamwork and to have lots of fun on the day!

Byron Wedding Visual

Gold Bear Wedding Films
Often photos and videos are chosen for different reasons. Some couples may want a classic style for their pics but are after a candid ‘fun’ video that they aren’t embarrassed to share with friends. Personally, we love it when photos and video mesh, so our advice would be to just look for ‘tone’. How do your vendors capture the fun, joy and key moments?

GoldBear Wedding Films

Rabbit and the Bear
Rabbit and the Bear differ a little in this regard as we only offer our combined photography and videography package, no longer offering film as a standalone product. We find this works perfectly for us and our couples as we have worked together long enough for it to be laid back and easy to have us shoot both photography and film on the day. We work as one to make sure that there’s never an awkward moment and the best day of your life is as cruisey, fuss-free and buzzing as it should be!

Yellowbull Weddings
Ultimately it is all about the two of you and a videographer and photographer’s role is to capture your day in a way that reflects you as a couple. A good videographer wants you to have amazing photos and a good photographer wants you to have an epic film. They’ll work together to make you relaxed, comfortable whilst having some fun along the way. Most couples choose a photographer they naturally gravitate towards, so we would suggest taking the same approach when choosing a videographer.

Yellowbull Weddings

Woven Motion
We love working with photographers! It’s always lots of fun to bounce off the energy of other creatives, working together to capture the magic. We recommend choosing people that compliment each other stylistically. We find every wedding and photographer/videographer combo is a unique experience and we approach it as such keeping it relaxed and flexible

Sail Me to the Moon
At Sail Me to the Moon we have a great relationship with many photographers and are always keen to collaborate with new ones.  Collaboration is key! We also have our own photography team.

Sail Me to the Moon

Do we get to choose the music that is played in our wedding video?

Lemon Tree Film House
We pay to license the music ourselves so that your film can be hosted online (and therefore shared with your family and friends)… legally.

We spend a HUGE amount of time choosing the best possible music for each of our couple’s taste (which we would have got a good idea of throughout your wedding day), that reflects the mood and vibe of their wedding day perfectly and that WORKS (I.e. technical mumbo-jumbo needs to be factored in as well as just how it sounds).

MOS & CO
Absolutely – if you supply it. However in some cases, if it is not royalty free music you may have trouble sharing it on socials. If there is not a song(s) you’ve supplied, I will generally choose one inspired by your wedding day playlist, your personalities, and what vibe I got on the day of meeting you.

Byron Wedding Visual
Yes, you can choose your own music. We ask for 5 songs and choose the best ones for the edit.

GoldBear Wedding Films
With GoldBear Wedding Films, music is super crucial. It helps set the tone and ‘good-times’ vibe. We basically have a conversation about your favourite styles of music and what you imagine in your video. We then hunt for music that suits and you guys sign off. This way we can provide you with a license to put your video on social media without the headaches that can go with that.

Rabbit and the Bear
We would like to say ‘yes you can have your choice of music for your films’ but we have always been above board and gone down the legal route of licensing every song we use for the highlight films. These songs are licensed once only by us so that the song chosen for your film will never be used again for anyone else. Generally, we try and get a feel for your music taste throughout the day and tailor licensed music for your films from that vibe.

Rabbit and the Bear

Yellowbull Weddings
Most often our couples get us to choose the music from our non-commercial sound libraries that literally have 1000’s of options, but couples can choose from these libraries themselves and that is absolutely OK also. There are currently no music licenses in Australia for using commercial music in wedding films, but if you have a track you love we can use this as inspiration to find something with a similar vibe.

Woven Motion
Generally, we use high-quality stock audio and provide you with a list of options. This allows you to use your wedding film across YouTube, Vimeo, and socials without the chance of it being pulled down due to music copyright. But if you have specific songs let us know and we’ll do our best to include them. Your happiness is our number one priority so we will always work with you to create the wedding film of your dreams.

Sail Me to the Moon
Yes.

Which parts of the wedding day do you suggest to shoot? Do we have the option to do a half-day or a full-day?

Lemon Tree Film House
We offer a minimum of 9 hours coverage… this is because our strength is to tell each of our couple’s unique story and to do so (well) we need footage from getting ready all the way through to party time.

9 hours also allows us time to shoot creatively rather than trying to simply cram in the ‘must include’ shots which could end up making your film a little ‘cookie-cutter’…. and we are ANYTHING but cookie-cutter.

Lemon Tree Film House

Mos & Co
At Mos & Co the parts to capture are the pre-wedding, ceremony/congratulations, creative couple shoot and the very start of the reception… Beware the drunk uncle at the end of the night thinking he’s on a reality T.V show testifying his love and acceptance of the newlyweds. Ahh!

Byron Wedding Visual
The ceremony and the creative shoot. For the creative session, we usually leave all the guests behind and take the couple plus the bridal party to a few amazing locations. Check out our half-day Silver Package and our full-day Gold Package.

Byron Wedding Visual

GoldBear Wedding Films
Our packages vary with shoot time. Generally, about 10 hours allows for some getting ready time and also the party at the end. We do whatever we can to avoid missing out on you guys killing it on the dance floor. LET’S PARTY!

GoldBear Wedding Films

Rabbit and the Bear
We shoot from bridal and groom prep in the late morning to the end of your formalities (generally first dance). Some of the nicest moments are behind the scenes … generally in the morning as the nerves and anticipation build and after the ceremony when you’re met by your guests as newlyweds. Weddings are so much more than just tying the knot. It’s about families crossing globes to party with loved ones and celebrate a relationship.

Yellowbull Weddings
To create an emotive film telling the story of your day and of you as a couple, the shoot (after the ceremony) is vital to capture moments of just the two of you – be them romantic and, or fun. Speeches are a great captured on film when loved ones share some sentimental words or hilarious stories, whereas a picture can’t capture the words. The ceremony is also vital as this is the you “getting married” part. We do have a half-day option, but our full-day option is definitely more popular at Yellowbull Weddings.

Yellowbull Weddings

Woven Motion
We like to start with both of you getting ready and go all the way through until we have every event from the day covered which usually ends with cake cutting then dancing. We don’t often do half days as we like to tell the whole story of your day but we are of course totally open to custom ideas if you have an idea for your day that doesn’t currently fit into one of our packages.

Sail Me to the Moon
We like to suggest that you shoot the entire day.  From getting ready until after the first dance with a bit of the dancing madness following that.  We suggest this because we feel it tells the story of your entire day as we capture all of the emotion and build-up to the ceremony and the relaxed and fun celebrations afterward.  Storytelling is key for us and we take absolute pleasure in telling yours.
