Ticking all the boxes for the perfect beach side wedding venue, Byron Bay’s superbly positioned Surf Club has just had a revamp! You really can’t get much closer to the beach than this! Situated right on the ocean in the heart of Byron Bay, the private event space is completely separate from the club itself with an expansive deck which enjoys magical panoramic views.
The newly renovated event space lends itself as the perfect blank canvas with the most serene ocean filled backdrop. Stepping foot into the venue is like stepping into a tranquil oasis with the buzz of action packed Byron Bay right on the doorstep.

Over the last few months, we have been working alongside The Wedding Shed on some exciting design and styling plans to transform the Surf Club into an urban beach town paradise, with all the laid back yet eclectic vibes for couples to be.

The Wedding Shed’s aim was to enhance the cool and relaxed feel the venue offers and to create a sense of ‘beach safari meets sleek stylish Ibiza vibe.’ To achieve this look they worked with a natural colour palette, layered textures of sun bleached timbers, creamy whites, hints of sea foam greens, oceanic hues and metallic accents. The dried palms and lotus leaves installation by Bower Botanicals added the tropical elements that really brought the whole look together with the entire colour palette complementing the natural surrounds.

“We’ve been super excited to be working on this shoot, not only because as venue stylists we love the opportunity to showcase our new ideas, but also because the Surf Club has so many great assets that make it a highly sought after wedding venue in this region.” Fran & Zoe from The Wedding Shed
As wedding planners, we think the Surf Club is one of the most iconic locations for a destination wedding in all Australia. Think street art, diverse fashion, farm to plate food culture, locally produced alcohol and renowned surfing mecca, the Byron region certainly has a lot to offer and now this venue has had a revamp it really does tick a lot of boxes.

The Byron Bay Surf Club is open for viewings on the 5th of January as part of the Venue Open Day.
