Katie & Nick’s romantic garden wedding at Victoria’s in Ewingsdale has us feeling all the feels… From the most amazing ceremony arbour to the fairy lights over the entire garden, this is what wedding dreams are made of! We absolutely loved working alongside this incredible team of suppliers to bring this stunning wedding to life.
Tell us your story, how did you both meet?
For the first 5 years of us knowing each other existed, we were best “frenemies”. Barely tolerating each other for the benefit of the group. After 5 years of tormenting each other, we realised, it wasn’t actually “hate”, but rather strong chemistry we had for each.
How did the proposal happen?
It was during my 30th birthday party in front of all of our family and friends when Nick was doing a speech that he got down on one knee with the most beautiful ring I’ve ever seen!
What was the reason for choosing Victoria’s in Ewingsdale as the venue for your special day?
We chose Victoria’s as it worked perfectly with the garden theme we were looking for and all of our family could stay at the venue with us to celebrate for a long weekend.
What style were you striving for with your table settings, florals and reception? Was there a certain look or vibe that you wanted to create?
We wanted a garden-style elegant wedding. We also wanted our entire wedding day all in the one place so it made it easier for our guests not having to travel around numerous locations. This allowed for a chill vibe for the day which is exactly what we were going for!
Were there any vendors that you particularly loved working with and why?
All of our vendors were exceptional! Our celebrant Victoria from Love for Life Celebrant was amazing; she made our ceremony funny and sweet and made our guests feel included. Shelley from Ivy Road Photography and Jake from Milky Media worked so well together and made us feel so comfortable behind the camera. Our photos and video were everything and more. Lily Budiasa also made the event awesome with her music!
Overall, what was your favourite part of your wedding day and why?
I couldn’t choose a favourite part, we loved everything about our wedding from the styling and set up to the running of the whole day, the food, the music, our guests, everything was perfect! I guess if I did have to choose one part, nothing compares to the butterfly feeling of that first time being announced as husband and wife.
