So, your wedding is happening during a global pandemic? No problem! We have some tips to ensure your day is still the magical, once in a lifetime experience!

I’m sure we can all agree that 2020 has been a wild, wild ride; there’s been constant change, and perhaps, like us, it’s taken some time to come to terms with the new norm (well for now anyway). We know, planning a wedding in the midst of this chaos can feel daunting, but we’re here to help you create the magic you’ve always envisioned. Whilst there might be some small adjustments to your typical wedding day, the most important aspects remain the same; standing before your partner as you say your vows, surrounded by your absolute nearest and dearest is a moment in time that you will always cherish. Our passion is to honour this day by ensuring you are both encapsulated with love and happiness throughout. To ignite some creativity, we’ve curated a list of our top tips for adding that extra sparkle to your wedding during this unprecedented time.

Up-the-Anti and take your wedding to the next level – create a day of festivities and excess that you and your guests will remember forever;

• Focus elsewhere – we know that no dancing must feel like a bombshell but quite often we hear couples say they didn’t get to spend enough time interacting with their loved ones. These changes have given us a fresh perspective on what’s really important on a wedding day and that’s cherishing the moment with friends and family in a more intimate way; savouring the food and drink, the sunset and each other. And… there are so many other fun activities that can fill in this time and gets everyone involved we promise, read on for these tips!
• Start your day earlier – Consider bringing your day forward so you can enjoy more time soaking up the incredible views and setting that all our Byron Bay wedding venues have to offer.
• Zhuzh up the drinks – make it fun, name the cocktails after yourselves or key guests, add in some speciality garnishes (we know some people who do a killer fairy floss cocktail!) and feel like royalty as our wonderful staff serve them to your table.
• Vibe it up – take a look through The Wedding Shed’s amazing collection and add in pieces that will make your day feel more intimate – cosy cocktail corners, low hanging lights, flower installations, luxe cushions, and candles are great for creating atmosphere.
• Live Stream it – we’ve asked around and found companies that will live stream your wedding for guests that couldn’t make it! Get these guests to convene at a common location and they can celebrate along with you! This projector screen can double as a way to present pre-recorded messages and video footage to make it feel like guests who can’t be there are in the room with you. Just ask us if this is a service you’re interested in.

• Stand-Up Comedians/Magicians – full of laughs, these entertainers can personalise their performance for you and your guests.
• Belly Dancers & Fire Twirlers – what a vibe! Celebrate in true style, sipping cocktails and chatting whilst entertainers move between you.
• DJs and Live Music – sit back and enjoy the music! DJs and musos can curate a set specifically for you – it may not be about singing and dancing along with them (leave it to the professionals, eh?)  but they sure know how to create a vibe, think sunset mixes and loungey cocktail feels.
