Arianne & Bryce celebrated their stunning day at the majestic Hinterland House on a gorgeous autumn afternoon. Beaming with warm pink and peach hues, the incredible ivy arch was the perfect backdrop for Arianne & Bryce to say ‘I do’, in the company of their nearest and dearest. The afternoon was spent sipping cocktails by the hinterland facing pool, followed by a dreamy reception under a starry clear roof marquee. Arianne & Bryce let the sheer elegance of the venue speak for itself, with carefully curated personal touches to represent their own flavour and style. Read on to hear more about this magical day.
Tell us about your story, how did you meet and where did the proposal happen?
Bryce and I met on New Year’s Eve in 2015 and we began dating shortly after. Bryce surprised Arianne on their 4th year anniversary with a picnic in one of their original date locations. Bryce had worked with one of his groomsmen Brenton to set up the perfect picnic, with their pup Ollie waiting by. Bryce decided to use Ollie to ensure the yes answer by putting a name tag on Ollie that said will you marry me. However, not going to plan Arianne failed to notice the new name tag and Bryce had to point it out very matter of factly, which once Arianne read it she started to cry.

What were the reasons for choosing Hinterland House as the venue for your special day?
Having originally planned our wedding at The Fig Tree Restaurant, but with fires and COVID having other ideas, we were back to the drawing board. When we went to Byron to view a couple of options, we popped into Hinterland House and immediately fell in love. It felt so beautiful, with so much history, but still a lovely new and elegant feel and the grounds are simply amazing!

What style were you striving for with your table settings, florals and reception? Was there a certain look or vibe that you wanted to create?
When it came to styling we really wanted something simple, elegant and modern. We wanted to make the most of the beautiful venue and highlight that as much as we could, whilst still bringing our own flavour and style.

Were there any wedding suppliers that you particularly loved working with and why?
A massive shout out to Byron Bay Weddings, in particular Marty and Che – it was a seamless experience on the day and something that made the day everything we could have hoped for.
Rabbit and the Bear – these guys were incredible, they made us feel so comfortable and had the best time with them, we wanted them to join the party by the end of the night.
Ben Carlyle – He is just a legend, he made Bryce and I feel so calm about everything, he bought our story to life and everyone loved him.
What were your favourite parts of the wedding planning process with Byron Bay Weddings?
Definitely picking out all of our styling items, and when you see the layout of how things are starting to come together! We loved the check-ins, they gave us heaps of confidence and kept us informed through some pretty crazy times.
Tell us what were the most important aspects of your wedding day and which moments really stood out to you?
Oh that’s hard, we always wanted to create a bit of a journey at the one venue where you had different locations that you got to experience, as the day unfolded. But we always said we wanted good food, good wine and good times and we definitely had it all! The moments that really stood out to us were our ceremony and the dance floor going off!

What would be your biggest advice to other couples currently planning their wedding?
Our biggest advice is to have an on the day coordinator – they take so much stress and worry off your mind and it really allows you to let your hair down and have the best time!
