Let Me Introduce Myself

Vanessa Baker is my name and I create music filled with soul. I love to curate atmosphere. And I love to sing — it’s in my bones. For me, music is so much more than a playlist. It’s energy, emotion, connection and atmosphere. It can soften a moment, lift a room, bring people together and create memories that stay with you.

Creating musical soundtracks that fit the vibe, setting and people in the room is my specialty.

I read the energy of the room and intuitively know when a moment calls for something beautiful and understated, something soulful and emotive, or something that will get everyone up and dancing.

I perform as a Solo Artist or Duo, as well as a DJ, taking you from the elegance and sensitivity of your ceremony, through cocktails and dinner, and if required, right through to the elevation of the dance floor.

And if you find yourself having a moment or two of pre-event nerves, I’ve got you there too. As a qualified Yoga Instructor, I have a few tricks up my sleeve to help you breathe, ground and remember “you got this”.

With over two decades of experience in the music and service industries, I have a wealth of skills, experience and intuition to draw upon. I care deeply about you and your guests having the best time possible — because music plays such a huge part in creating that feeling.
