My style is best described as; Less Posey // More Party 

You see, I believe your wedding day is not meant to feel like an orchestration. It’s not a performance, but a live-event. I think the stars of the show should get to go-with-the-flow! To me, photographs should represent the meaning – rather than be the meaning… There are often moments of awe, of beauty, of crazy and of unplanned wild laughter. I’m not there to hover over you both and to slow things down, to interfere or to make everything look a particular way because that’s how someone-said-it-should-be. 

I’d prefer to let the action happen as it happens, capturing the real magic as it unfolds… To me, I think that’s where the work is – in making those bits look as perfect and as beautiful as they looked and felt in reality. You’re there soaking up every moment – start to finish. And I want to be there to help you remember the best bits, the in-between bits, and the bits you didn’t notice. 

When people talk about themselves as a visual person, I think, “yeah, I can relate to that”. I like to watch the world go by as though it’s a movie, letting my eyes indulge in the experience of appreciating old paintings & great films, the light in the afternoon or the early morning, expressions on faces, gaps between buildings, or just angles, shadows and highlights that occur naturally within space & time. 

As cliche as it sounds – appreciating all of that is what I enjoy so much about spending my time photographing weddings…
