Shane Shepherd

Hi there! My name is Shane Shepherd and I’m a wedding photographer based in Byron Bay. My philosophy with weddings is that ‘it’s as much about your family and friends, as it is about the couple’, so I do my absolute best to document as much as I can of everyone at your wedding. It also means I like to keep any portraits we do together as quick as possible so you can get back to the party! My approach means that I won’t put you into awkward poses that aren’t ‘you’, I give direction where needed but it’s always focussed on people having a good time and being relaxed in their images.

I have been full time with this photography thing since 2011, and have been fortunate enough to have photographed over 300+ weddings all over the world including Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, New Zealand, Thailand, Bali and across Australia. My all time favourite place to shoot weddings though is in my hometown of Byron Bay. We are so lucky here to have world-class wedding venues, beaches, the hinterland, amazing food, art and culture at our doorstep. I grew up here and it’s where I live today with my beautiful wife Dee and three kiddies Frankie, Spencer and Sunny. If you like what I do, I’d love to hear from you!
