Do we need an MC? What does their role entail?

MC’s are great as a personal presence throughout the celebrations. Their role can be as formal or as casual as you would like, but the main roles are to welcome guests following the ceremony, point out the essentials such as bathroom locations, smoking sections, where to find the guestbook and when dinner will be served. They will introduce the bridal party upon your return from your photos and announce the speeches and first dance. Following the formalities, ask your MC to remind your guests of the photo booth or polaroid guest book, as well as what time the transport will be leaving, where the after party is taking place and where to meet the following day for your recovery brunch.
