Horizon is an ideal Wedding Venue for private indoor or outdoor ceremonies in a luxurious, scenic location.  Why deal with the stress of transport and multiple venues on your special day? Having your wedding at Horizon allows you to hold your ceremony, reception, accommodation and a relaxing weekend all at the one luxurious location.

 

Horizon is a beautifully luxurious home set on majestic grounds only a short drive out of Byron Bay. You'll find plenty of maintained grassland where you can enjoy a beautiful outdoor ceremony with breathtaking views. The immaculately designed pool area can accommodate 60 seated guests or up to 120 standing, as can the living areas inside. A large timber deck directly in front of the lounge overlooks the lighthouse and ocean, the perfect spot for a ceremony with unforgettable photographs.

 

With five comfortable bedrooms you can have your closest friends and family stay for the weekend, lounge in the pool, walk the grounds or sip wine on the patio as you enjoy your first days together as a married couple.

VENUE HIRE:

“Home” Weddings

  • Up to 60 guests for seated receptions or up to 120 guests for standing receptions.
  • 3 nights accommodation for up to 12 guests in 5 bedrooms.
  • No marquee required
  • At 10.00pm music is to be slowed down/turned off 
  • At 10.30pm, all non-staying guests are to have left the property.

Venue Hire: $4,600 (inc GST)
Accommodation: $5,400 (inc GST)
* includes 3 nights accommodation for up to 12 people. It is a requirement to book accommodation when hiring the venue.

 

“Marquee” Weddings

  • Suitable for large or small receptions.
  • Option to use spectacular “Ocean View” (20m x 10m) marquee location – a marquee is required if you desire seated dining for over 60 guests.
  • 3 nights accommodation for up to 12 guests
  • At 10.00pm music is to be slowed down/turned off  
  • At 10.30pm, all non-staying guests are to have left the property.

Venue Hire: $5,600 (inc GST)
Accommodation: $5,400 (inc GST)
* includes 3 nights accommodation for up to 12 people. It is a requirement to book accommodation when hiring the venue.

 

Mid-Week Weddings

  • Tuesday & Wednesday nights only
  • 2-nights accommodation: $3,600 p/n (inc GST)
  • Venue hire $2,400 (inc GST)*
  • *not applicable for marquee weddings.

 

Ceremony Only

  • 3-nights accommodation: $5,400 (inc GST)
  • Venue hire for ceremony $2,000 (inc GST)

 

Day-After Events

In addition to the venue hire, we permit day-after events 11am – 3pm at $2,000 (inc GST)

MARQUEE:

Ocean View Marquee Platform: 20 x 12m

CEREMONY:

A brand new, purpose-built timber deck overlooking the Byron hinterland, ocean and lighthouse has been built, which is a perfect ceremony option.

There are also other indoor and outdoor options available.

The pool area can accommodate 120 standing guests comfortably, all parts of the interior are able to be utilised.

Catering:

There is a large fully equipped Miele kitchen inside, however this is for domestic use only.

All catering equipment will need to be brought in.

MUSIC:

All musicians must be approved by your selected Wedding Co-ordinator.

All live and amplified music is to be within the house or pool area.

String and ambient music is allowed on the terraces and inside the marquee.

Curfew for all music is strictly 10:00pm on the day of the Event.

Curfew for live or amplified music is strictly 8pm on Sundays.

PARKING:
Parking is available for 6 cars.
TRANSPORT:
Transport arrangements must be booked for all other guests attending the Event. Approved bus companies are: - Byron & Beyond Charters, Exceed & Magic Bus

For intimate weddings up to 80 guests there 2 bathrooms for wedding guest use, 80+ guests portable bathrooms are required.

Horizon has two wedding formats, "Home" and "Marquee", the differences between each are outlined below:

 

"Home" Weddings at Horizon

  • Up to 60 guests for a seated reception or up to 120 guests for a cocktail reception.
  • Maximum guest numbers: 120
  • A marquee may not be used for Home weddings

 

"Marquee" Weddings at Horizon

  • A spectacular marquee location: "Ocean View" (20m x 10m).
  • Guest numbers above 120 are by negotiation.
